High-voltage systems
The advancing electrification of vehicle drives also raises questions about the use of these systems when recovering vehicles involved in accidents with high-voltage systems, usually hybrid and electric vehicles.
In order to provide all those involved with recommendations for safe and targeted work, the VDA project group “Recovery of vehicles involved in accidents with high-voltage systems” together with the VDIK has developed and published guidelines for accident assistance and recovery of high-voltage systems.
The rapid further development of vehicles with high-voltage systems made it necessary to update and revise the guideline in 2020. The revised version of the guideline takes this into account and answers typical questions that arise when dealing with electric vehicles involved in accidents.
